Patches for NFS:UC are really over due. I didn't know that there weren't any on Steam when I got the game, and a buddy of mine that had it on PS3 got it again just so we could play together. We were both rather irritated finding that it didn't work because we couldn't get on the servers.

Here's hoping that patches come.

Yep steam version has been patched up to version 1.02 how ever it's still no help for me, all mine does... double click to launch.. then boom, black screen, then a error report box telling me the program has failed... sigh...

Just looking to see if any response from Steam has been put in here. Sure would be nice to hear from them weather we all just wasted our money on this version or if they're actually going to try and get it updated.

:\ It's up to EA to patch the game. Valve can't do anything in terms of patching the games, as they are not the publisher.

They could at least be nice enough to let us know if there's any patch in the works or not. I know a friend of mine contacted them about it, having gotten the game so we could play together. Steam ended up refunding him his money, but honestly I'd rather have a working game.
Then again, if there's 0% chance that it's ever going to work, then I'd just as soon have my cash back and I'll get another game.

Steam is the content provider, it's their job to know what's going on with the games they sell, even if they don't work on them themselves. Maybe they don't make the patches sure, but they should at least know if there's one in the works.

I only got this game on Steam a few weeks ago because ive always enjoyed the NFS games, wasnt sure what the go was with the no online play. Also not sure why it got such a bad rating, I love the NFS series, but I think the latest one:Shift is the worst of them all.
