hi there :)
i have following problem.
i'm trying to play this on my HD-TV and every time i set the resolution to 1920x1080 the game crashes directly on startup with this message.

720p works just fine and 1440x900 on my monitor is also no problem.
any idea what the problem could be?

Hi Schnitzelfee,
It could be that on the larger display your graphics hardware is running out of memory. Try these steps to check if that's the case.
> Right click on Shatter in your 'My games' tab in Steam and select Shatter Settings Editor.
> In the Shatter Settings Editor go to the Display tab.
> If Tripple Buffer is checked, uncheck it.
> Move your AA slider to 0x.
> Click Apply
> Launch Shatter on the HDTV in question.
Please let us know if this works. If it does not work some more information would be useful. Following these next steps could help us greatly!
> In the start menu, choose "run"
> In the run window type "dxdiag"
> When it's finished loading click "Save All Information"
> Then if you could e-mail the resulting txt file to support@sidhe.co.nz
Thanks,
Antony

thanks for the answer!
yep, it does work without AA.
triple buffer seems to be no problem.
but it's kind of strange, more "demanding" games run in 1080p and AA without a problem.
but i'm happy that it runs at all in 1080p, and the game looks great also without AA :)
by the way, i'm using a HD3870 with 512MB.

Good to hear it's working but it should work with AA as well. We may be able to look into it more if we get your machines dxdiag output from you. That could give us some clues as to what might cause this to happen.

The first thing that jumps out at me is your graphics drivers version number doesn't show up in the dxdiag output
mine looks like this:
Driver Version: 8.661.0.0
DDI Version: 10.1
Driver Model: WDDM 1.1
Driver Attributes: Final Retail
Driver Date/Size: 9/24/2009 11:00:58, 4649472 bytes
WHQL Logo'd: Yes
yours is this:
Driver Version: ()
DDI Version: 10.1
Driver Attributes: Final Retail
Driver Date/Size: , 0 bytes
WHQL Logo'd: n/a
Make sure you have the lateset drivers for you graphics card and the latest DirectX from the official sites. If you could try these steps one at a time that would be helpful because if it works we can then see which step fixes the issue.
Graphics driver link:

The other easy thigns to try are to update Direct X from the microsoft website.
DirectX link:

I'm just trying to rule out the easy stuff first. If this helps or not please reply either way. It'd be good to get to the bottom of this.

Oh and note that your dxdiag may still not look identical to mine after installing new drivers as we do have different cards but i've never seen one without a driver version or date like yours.
