im runnign around with $10million and an inventory full of guns and there isnt a single gun worth buying from any store i visit

7750000 guns i cant believe to be honest even if they are just different stats most of time, i see the same guns with sometimes minimal variation in stats, im level 47 now playing through again and the stores are just full of weak guns that would be good in walkthrought 1 but are overprcied and useless in walkthrough 2.

is there anyway to find a store that just sells good guns? even tried dlc store at zombie map1 and its no different. going to play them after i finish story again

IMO its all pretty much luck, but if I had to say a best then the second one in new haven or the one @ crawmerax may be better, but again I think this is purely luck. If you want to run tests, then go to salt flats, check that vending machine, then go to new haven. You have a 50% chance of seeing the second machine. vending machines are really just chests with lots of items that you have to pay for.

While I enjoyed the game I do have this major complaint "What do I spend all my money on?" I want to use my money but there is really nothing to buy. I have lost interest in really wanting to get more money. I finished the game and am on the DLC's. Even in the earlier stages of the game I figured out that I could simply stumble upon better guns in the chests rather then go to the vending machines that never had anything much better anyways. There was just way to much stuff in the chest's for the vending machines to have any real purpose. I just think they missed the boat on this aspect of the game.

Money was only of any importance to me early on. Sometimes I'd find a slightly better shield or class mod in the vending machine and I'd want it. Also, the ammo upgrades (SDU) are fairly expensive for a new character. Finally, and quite rarely, you will find a nice weapon actually worth buying in the vending machine.

After your character has leveled up a bit and has some miles on him, its almost never worth it (in my experience) to buy items from vending machines. You'll come across so much loot out there that the vending machines quickly lose their appeal. And thus, so does money. But it all works pretty well for a new character, early on.

i wish the shops had more items for sale, its crazy that they advertise 7750000 guns in the game but you only get to see 8 every 20 minutes

why not have a page for each manufacturer in the shop listing a gun for each weapon category. that would be cool

Yeah I kinda understand your view, but imho, I think that would take away alot of the fun and make the game less enjoyable. The vending machines are supposed to be random and luck based.

You need to go out there and kill tons of baddies to find all the loot. If you could just browse an extensive catalog of high-powered weaponry from the safety of Fyrestone, why would you ever leave?

UHHHH that's one of the major reasons why you would want to go out there and kill all the baddies to find the loot. To get money as well. So staying in Fyrestone wouldn't do you any good with a vending machine. I think the game simply should've had a better balance of finding stuff and finding money and/or earning money to buy stuff. And lastly having good stuff to buy. I kind've feel you have it backwards. The vending machines should be more consistent. When you are out there in the open world and stumble upon things that is when it should be more random and luck based.

Thats exactly what I'm saying. The vending machines are as much luck as anything else at this point. If you could reasonably expect to find high-powered gear in all the vending machines, it would dramatically decrease the value of going out there and killing all the midgetS!
