so, considering CoP will probably arrive in the mail tomorrow and i finished Clear sky today, i have some questions about the overall plot of the series. i'd like to understand it all before starting CoP
in a nutshell...in CS, Scar is basically picking after Strelok's steps, which take them to the NPP where something happens to Strelok which gets him branded S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and assigned the mission to kill himself (by mistake). in SoC, this is what we/Strelok find out.
is there anything really important that i'm missing?
aside from that, in CS we learn that Strelok had already been to places and met people that in SoC we think we're seeing them for the 1st time. now i don't remember correctly, but that scientist dude in Yantar...he clearly talked with Strelok in CS AND in SoC, but when you talk to him in SoC doesn't it come across as if you're meeting him for the first time? like i said, i don't remember the chat so i'm not sure if he recognized strelok or not.
