Will Steam offer SupCom Gold Edition?

I have a friend who after playing SupCom2, and then SupCom Forged Alliance on my computer, definitely wants to play Forged Alliance as he feels SupCom2 was good training wheels for real PC multiplayer fun on Forged Alliance.

Does anyone know if Steam will offer Supreme Commander and Forged Alliance Gold Edition? I see that is still retails for $29.99!

I heard it was coming to Steam a couple of years back, but sadly I think the deal fell through. They considered it once so it may be considered again, especially with the dissapointment of SupCom2 that most fans are feeling.

You don't need steam for it. You can probably find a deal. I got 2 copies of gold for $13 each from Amazon. I noticed it went back up due to renewed interest cause by the release of SupCom2, but it's just a bubble.

I loved SupCom2/FA and it's still awesome in all it's complexity. Even so, I am having immense fun in SupCom2 right now, which apparently is blasphemy to some.
