Has anyone ask Gabe for an interview, NOT FEW SECS, but more a more complete intervew for episode 3?
Like anything that wont compromise, you know THE VALVE's CODE, but talk about small things, like Engine, sign language, anything new and innovator added. Anything that Gabe would enjoy to share with us. NOT US TRYING TO MAKE HIM TELL US WHAT WE WANT.
Also With Marc Laidlaw, you know ask him, if he enjoyd writing the episode 3, the lenght, you know... general stuff. not specific that might give us a background of how the work is doing.
but usually we would get a big NO COMMENTS

No, no one has because they refuse to talk about Episode 3 and there's more important things on the table at thing point in time (such as Portal 2 and Left 4 Dead 2).
Laidlaw cannot and will not speak about Episode 3, but he still kindly responds to inquirers about the Half-Life story.

No one has because Doug has taken out anyone with the idea.:D
After all, they are working on the PENGUIN engine. You can ask him about that.

Does anybody want to bet that there will be a reveal at E3, followed by so many interviews that our brains will almost melt?
I bet one billion dollars there will be.

If I had a billion dollars to bet with, I'd take that bet. That's an easy way to double my fortune.
Sorry but you'll only be seeing Portal 2 at E3, and for the rest of the year for that matter.

When we were skimming the submitted questions and figuring out what and how to ask questions for the Steamcast interview with Gabe, there were obviously a lot of EP3 questions. We opted to only ask one, "indirect" question about EP3, because we already knew they wouldn't answer any direct questions and we didn't want to waste our valuable once-in-a-lifetime time with him. I believe it was something along the lines of "We know you're not talking about EP3, but could you tell us WHY you decided to be so tight lipped about this title compared to the others?" I thought that was a pretty tame question, but guess what... he dodged it by not really answering it.
I get your line of thinking, but I don't think you understand how tight lipped they actually are about this. Don't think that someone is going to come along and cleverly bully them into even brushing the topic, because it ain't happening.

No Episode 3 this year. Only Portal 2. E3 will probably be a trailer. Get over it.
And I knew Valve was tight about their games, but damn, I didn't know they were that brutal O.o

Hindsight is 20/20, but if that opportunity ever comes up again, ask him something like this...
"For my only Ep3-related question, what led you guys to believe people were more interested in portal2 then episode 3 so as to put it ahead in the development pipeline so to speak? Was it sales figures, market research, magic 8-ball?"

That's a question they would only answer post-release more than likely, and even then they might not or give a half-asses answer.
I've pretty much read every article and interview on Valve since HL... the trend is obvious if you've done the same.

LOL. I wanna hear the answer to this question too. :) Really, what WERE they thinking... the Half-Life series should obviously be their priority at this point.
