The most concerning bugs so far are those that prevent people from starting the game - we obviously want everyone who has purchased the game to be able to play it, and we will help you work through this issue.

If you are prompted by our custom bug reporting window, please include your forum name in the report and post here or send a private message - I can give you very direct feedback about the problem in that case.

If no custom report window comes up, and you only receive the Windows error message, try verifying the game cache, as described in the known issues thread. (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1191010)

If you have been able to run the game once, but it crashes consistently ever since, it's likely that the game is choosing an invalid fullscreen resolution. On Windows 7 or Vista, delete the folder C:\Users\You\AppData\Local\Cadenza. On Windows XP, delete the folder C:\Documents and Settings\You\Local Settings\Application Data\Cadenza. These folders may be hidden by default. When the game starts up, go strait to options and set it to windowed mode. This will allow you to play the game until the issue is resolved in our next patch.

I got the custom bug reporting window only if XNA and .NET are uninstalled. If not, it stays on splash screen and I must do ALT+F4 two times to quit.

Hmm, I get a custom bug report on startup, but when I try to send the report, I get an error stating "Could not send report: configuration system failed to initialize"

Hey, I'm trying to get into the demo, but after it starts it goes to some cinematic screen for about 6 seconds, then a crash report dialog pops up, and then my computer BSOD's.

Says something about nv4_disp.dll (graphics drivers?)

My current drivers work fine for everything except this game (it's a miracle I found some that work with 150+ games), so I won't be changing them.

My WMP is also out of date, but I do have the latest codecs. Updating to the latest version of WMP isn't really an option for me.

I guess I shouldn't purchase the game until the demo stops crashing? :) Hmm... I love TDs.

nv4_disp.dll is your videodriver. Which video driver version is installed?

Yes, that's certainly a graphics driver issue. We will keep the demo up to date as we patch the full game, so you can try again after the next update. But the older the graphics drivers are, the less likely it will work.

I use these: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_195.62_whql.html

XP Pro SP3 32bit; GeForce GTS 250

Like I said, I have a 150+ other games, and they all work fine.

So, after this happened a few times I went and tried launching directly through the file in the Sol Survivor folder, instead of the Steam link, and it gave me a .net error. Ta da, the problem is unmasked. After repairing windows to fix the issue with my .net files the game is now running wonderfully.

I tried deleting that folder, and re-running. No dice.

I tried Verifying, says all files verfied. >:[

Running windows 7 64 bit, 8gb ram, 1gb ati radeon 4890, amd phenom II x3 720 @ 3.0GHz

Demo ran fine, but not the full game.

edit: works fine now, defraged the files in steam then verified and got some files
