Come up with your own paint!

[This thread conains low spoilers; just for a warning]


So with the Portal 2 forums going moderately slow, why not come up with random paint for Portal with special abilities just for fun?
This isn't made to suggest Valve anything, nor does this have to be serious; as long as it's creative or stupid.

We already know there is the Orange and Blue paint (Speedy & Bouncy floors) in Portal 2, let's think up other things.

For instance-

Sticky Paint- You can go up walls or surfaces regardless of gravity as long as your feet are on it.
Zero-Point Energy Field Manipulator Pulling Paint- When you look at it and press the use key you will be attracted to as if you're using a grappling hook (think of the Barnacle weapon from HL: Opposing Force if you know it).
Friction Resistant Paint- You cannot change your velocity by any means unless you bump into another surface, but you can still jump on it.


Some other ones:

Time Paint- When you step on it, time will slow down for you, causing bullets or obsticals to become slower.
Reflective Paint- Portals would be reflected whenever you shoot at it.
Movement Paint- Inertia and momentum would become involved in moving your screen whenever you stand on it.



By the way, I knew that Sticky Paint was from TAG; I put it in just for an example.

Portal in its tests reminds me of the movie CUBE (the first one).
It would be awesome if portal two could have a slight orientation tweak to help users easier. WORLD gravity modifier such as a switch could rotate the room or in fact change the gravity of the room thus forcing you to orientate yourself to it. Those Escher drwaings could literalyl come ot life. Also one could evne remove world gravity and make dummybox gravity fields. Thus you could run right up a wall lol.

As someone mentioned, it was already in TAG. They probably would leave that one out because it starts to negate the reason for calling the game "Portal" if you can just walk up a wall.

Wind Paint: You can paint objects with this to make them resistant to fans or tractor beams or whatever is going on in Portal 2.

Magnetic Paint: You paint it on an object, and it's MAGNETIZED.

Rainbow Paint: Is colorful

Gray paint, which renders the surface it's on non-portal-applicable.

Brown paint, that smells funny and dampens electrical devices. Also, for lulz, GLaDOS insinuates it's feces. Either your own or previous test subjects'.

Red paint, VERY flammable.

Orange paint. Bouncy like a trampoline.

Yellow paint. Dries quickly, so it can make makeshift one-touch surfaces.

Chell paint - Distracts turrets
ElectroMagnetic paint - Disables turrets for a short period of time
Charcoal paint - Puffs up and turns charcoaly to absorb fire damage (actually saw this on NatGeo today as a way to improve safety on oil rigs)
