Mission Failure in COP

So I was by Jupiter station doing a quest for the scientists. Asked me to find the cause of telepathic emissions. It ended with killing the controller and this time unlike the first time through the game 1 stalker survived.

First time I went through they all died so I had to find a new work team for the following missions. Now taking the readings took substantially longer for the first one.

The second mission is where I had issue, as soon as we loaded in, before I could pull out my gun a boar was RIGHT next to him and just would bop him once then dead. Tried several times to save him to no avail. I didnt think too much of this at the time because before I could just recruit new guys to do the job.

I went on doing other missions (basically going too far to go back) and now find that I cant get anymore missions from the scientists. No recruiting new stalkers, no more emission tests. Let alone being able to find out about the readings effect on mutants and how they are influenced.

Now im missing out on a ton of quests, is there anyway around this?

sorry bud, sounds like you need to back up to a previous saved game? and yeah, know that sucks.

Yeah, I didn't anticipate how hard that mission was, however I did successfully save all the stalkers in the tunnel from the controller, so I had 4 stalkers with me to take readings. I only returned with one of them!

I found the controller mission really hard, I couldn't beat it & all the squad it took over at once. I couldn't kill it before it took them over. Seems like they are tougher once they are taken over.
I have to confess that I shot all the squad while they were hunched on the floor before it could take them over, then dealt with the controller on its own.
Felt pretty bad about that, I never kill the innocent normally. There didn't seem to be any big consequences though & the emissions reading mission with 4 new stalkers was easy.

I have not beaten this on Master (yet... I just started at Master level). On veteran, here's what worked for me. As soon as the lead stalker yells "Controller", I jumped through the "gate", and ran up the right side, on the platform. The columns keep you mostly out of sight of the controller. Head outside, and duck to the right. Get your shotgun ready, and as soon as Mr. Controller comes around the corner, unload on him. All 4 of the stalkers had nothing worse than a bad headache.

It's the Marsh Measurements Mission that got me- as soon as we arrived, a controller & 3 Bandits appeared, right in front of me. I lost 3 of the 4 stalkers in the initial onslaught, leaving me as the sole defender for this and the Zombie mission. I barely made it, so I'm wondering how I'm going to get throught this one on Master...
