First, let me say the game looks great and really fun. I never even heard of it till it was brought up in the general forum. I love to support smaller indie titles and for $14 this release will fly.

I am sorry to bring this topic up so early but...
Before I preorder, I need to know if there will be any additional DRM on top of Steam. (TAGES, limited activations, secuROM, etc...)

Thanks

Steam itself is DRM, and plenty of other games on Steam use additional DRM on top of Steam itself.

This isn't an "indie" game, in any way, shape, or form. It has a publisher and everything.

Yeah, my fault, I guess I have to stop referring to smaller studios as indies. Looking over Steam's indie list it appears that to qualify as an indie you must self publish.

Nevertheless, I still would like to know if there is any DRM other than Steam's own.

It's cool; it seems like most of the gaming community does this, including a lot of journalists. Indeed, "small studio" does not always mean the same thing as "indie" at all.

Well, of course. "Indie" is short for "independent," as in, not dependent on a publisher to fund development.

Nevertheless, I still would like to know if there is any DRM other than Steam's own.
I've been playing the beta, and there doesn't appear to be anything else. Certainly no overt activations or anything like that.

It's a Steamworks title, so it's using Steamworks as DRM and nothing more.

You can find the list of all third party DRM Steam game here.

L&G doesn't have third party DRM.
