Y'know the conveyor control room, where you use the switch to move the conveyor so you can get across the river of electrified goo, well, I can get it to move, but I'm wondering what the heck that button to the right of the switch does. I press it, and I hear some sound, but thats it... really weird...

Ahh, I know that part. Right after you escape from the room that fills up with electric goo? I don't think that button does anything, but if you mess with the switch enough, you should be able to move that conveyor.

I think I know what you're talking about.
It was the place after you escape the room that was flooded by radioactive goo and electricity that was destroying the platform.

I noticed that there was a red door with the green goo dripping out, therefore my prediction was that the botton was supposed to open the door but, since it was flooded by the electrfied radioactive sludge (that was probably from the previous scene), it couldn't open.

Excuse me. I wasn't implying you needed a walkthrough. I was looking at it to make sure I was in the right place (since I don't know the game off the top of my head) and thought I'd include the link.

Yeah. Like at 3:46 he starts moving the conveyor and you can see the button to the right.

Probably nothing. Unless it's a secret or something cut from the game.

You could noclip around before you activate the button and afterwards to see if anything changed. Unless someone else has done this and posts about it.
