If I would have answered this before the announcement of Portal 2, I would have voted Ep3, but now I'm really psyched for Portal 2 :D

Why is even L4D3 on there? Anyone who votes for that must be extremely stupid or a troll.

I have no interest in Left 4 Dead 3. I'm still wading through the first two for achievements. I would prefer Episode 3, but I'll settle on Portal 2 if it means the wait is worth it for the concluding chapter.

I don't expect L4D3 to come in one or two years because that short time of developing will ruin the L4D series once again .

Different gameplay admittedly, but c'mon!
I hate FPS, but I absolutely adore HL! So atmospheric!

Anyway, on topic; I voted EP3 since it's been three years and Portal 2 is already announced for this year. Unless Valve are being themselves, in which case, expect it in a year's time.

Ep3... buuuuuuut:
Portal 2 is already announced for this year, and more importantly, while I can't wait for Ep3 to be released, I want Valve to take all the time they need to make it. The HL series are the best videogames I have ever played and I don't want Valve to rush it due to popular demand.
But I'm pretty confident they won't though. After all, HL is Valves baby and they won't let anything bad happen to it.

Episode 3 - Probably going to take the longest.
Portal 2 - Probably coming out this fall.
Left 4 Dead 3 - Probably going to take 1 year to make again, thus making 4 games ( i think ) in the time span of episode two to episode three.

I'm not upset about Portal 2 because:

-Portal didn't come out last year
-there have been two non-Portal releases between the release of Portal and Portal 2

I am disappointed that it's not coming in an Orange Box thing with EP3 though.

Though I am patient and don't really have any problem waiting 2 more years for the next HL game. Though sooner would be better, and hopefully they don't release 5 more boring Zombie games before then. (I do like L4D, but honestly I had all the L4D I could ever want from the first game.)

The poll results will of course be somewhat biased due to the fact that we're in the Portal 2 forums. I'm pretty sure that the silent majority of Valve fans are dying to see Ep3 released as soon as possible.Agreed put this on the Ep2 boards and see how well P2 does.:p Beside even here it was a long time before P2 caught up with, much less passed Ep3 by the slim margin it has at this point.;)

Unlike L4D2 most of us want both. It's just a matter of which we really want more right this moment.:cool:

Not that I want them to stop what they are doing with portal 2, but I don't think they should wait too long to make Ep3. I heard rumors that they wanted to make a more up to date game engine before making Ep3, and that is total bull. True, half-LIFE 2 and Ep1 aren't as cutting edge as they once were, but they still do look great. If they used the same exact Source engine as Ep2 it would still blow people away, but really what matters is gameplay. But that is just ridiculous, Portal, TF2, L4D1 AND 2, and Portal 2 all use the source engine and each release just looks better. So that better not be their excuse for holding off on making Ep3. Also I don't think it would take that long, while Valve obviously cares about the quality of their products and wants to make each game they release to be better than the last, It is only Ep3. I don't think most fans are expecting HL3. It should use the same graphics engine, same guns (plus maybe a few new ones as usual), and look and feel the same in general. Just a really Kick a$$ conclusion to HL2. the longer it takes them to make it the more people are gonna expect from it, so it had better be good.

I'd want to play Portal 2. My perspective is a bit different than other people, though, because I didn't get around to finishing Half-Life 2: Episode One and Episode Two until just recently. I hadn't realized how much time has passed since Half-Life 2 came out. I thought that HL2:Ep2 was extremely recent, and I was like, "Hmm, I better not fall behind on the series."

Portal 2 might even give some more hints into Aperture Science's notorious Borealis. Considering the device was approved (and apparently made) by GLaDOS, it should prove interesting.

Well we KNOW their is going to be Portal 2 In the fall. we KNOW Their will be a L4D3. And we KNOW Their will be HL2 Episode 3. I say L4D3, because the release date of Portal2 is already out there, and HL2 Episode 3 wont be out for possible another year or two. Hell, I'm never sick of zombies.
