View Full Version : Portal office clipboard has new characters on it?

Sorry if I'm late behind the game on this, but I DL'ed Portal for the first time in AGES so I could get the last achievement. When I was running through the game, I had my graphics set higher than the first time I played through, and I noticed a couple things that I never saw before.

Most interesting of which was the clipboards in the office with the Jellyfish drawing/etching on the wall. They have a "FAILED" test subject info sheet on them, with some sort of creature on it. Curious if it had anything to do with the upcoming game, I did a little Internet searching. According to the pictures found here, (http://kotaku.com/5484157/valves-portal-puzzle-so-far-the-files-recovered-from-aperture-science) there may be some correlation.

What do you think?

ones a chicken, and the other clipboards chell. (you can tell because its #224, and #224 is on the bed you were in. ithink)

Must've been C. Johnson's office.
He likes jellies...and testing chickens.
Stupid birds keep pecking the operational end of the device.
Not a clue how they even make it to that test chamber though.

Maybe that is the so called "ratman".
It's the only "character" except from chell and there are only two clipboards.

Why would there be a clipboard for Chell. If she's just beginning the test after everyone's died of deadly neurotoxin.

She's just beginning THIS test, (that test, in p1) doesn't mean she wasn't being tested for other things. After all, it's the perfect time to get her tested...

Speaking of clipboards, i think the latest update made one of the clipboards change. I think its the one that use to just be the HEV mark 5 clipboard that was in the inaccessible areas(was just reused asset from HL2, seen as no one could see it without no clipping).

I think they changed it to something else, as in gmod when i was spawning portal props i had a new clipboard.
