Id just like to know if warband will be using matchmaking or dedicated servers.. alot of games lately have used matchmaking and id rather warband used dedicated, id just like to know if anyone has any info ty.

It is definitely NOT matchmaking. If anything, it is refreshingly old-school. You click multiplayer, you get an option to host or join. If you click join, you get a nice server-list with pings (ITS BEEN A WHILE!) and everything. And if you click host, you get a nice big menu where you can set all kinds of options and host it right on your own machine.

As far as DEDICATED servers...I know all the beta servers are dedicated so I can only assume there will be a dedicated server release for this.

If this is true, you have made my day. it has been so long since proper servers have been avaliable for games... modern warfare 2 was a bit of a let down in this case.. in any case you have made me happy thank you.

It is indeed true. I preordered the game on Steam and it let me play the beta some. I've also been playing the beta before the Steam preorder and I can assure you, verily, yea, I hath seen this with mine own eyes! Real servers with PING NUMBERS!

No matchmaking, during beta there were servers from taleworlds and dedicated servers (owned by clans like 22nd, einherjar and such).
