Hello, I just got fallout GOTYE and I cant connect to windows live when I attempt to connect it says the Live service might be down or there might be something wrong with my home network. However I can connect on the GFWL client and I can connect on dawn of war with no problems, any help will be greatly appreciated

You can play the game without connectiong to GFWL, you just wont get their achievements. Just be aware that when not connected to GFWL, it saves your games in a slightly different directory, so you will have to move your most recent save over should you activate GFWL later.

I had issues with GFWL... They told me it was my Wacom Tablet, that there were 'known issues' with GFWL and Wacom. Told me to unplug it and uninstall the drivers (which I did not do, I use my tablet as a mouse, you don't tell someone to unplug their mouse) Do you have a Wacom tablet? beyond that, I have no experience with GFWL.

Actually, you DO need GFWL, or you can't save your game.

Actually, no you don't. I never created any sort of GfWL account at all, and ran a program to disable GfWL on my computer. Fallout 3 functions perfectly fine without it.

No, you can still save your game. The only issue is that for some reason it saves games in one directory when you're signed into GFWL, and a in different one when you're not. So if you sign out of GFWL you won't see any of your saves that you made when you were signed in. You can easily fix this by copying the save files from one folder to the other though, so it's not something to worry about.

I played this game nearly hundreds of hours, and I have to tell you that if you disable GFWL, your game crashes much less. at least from my expereince.

Alright, then I gotta try disabling GFWL, because my game crashes a lot.
