Bound in one fixed spot all alone.

Unable to die, even with the help of chell.(pissing chell off through sarcasm and cruelty so that chell might destroy her faild. He automated systems revived the unwilling GlaDos)

One of her few favorite past things to pass the time in the lonely dark, the only thing that could seemingly connect her to humanity, baking beautiful cakes, she cannot even share or enjoy for herself.

Hopefully in Portal 2 when the time is right she can drop her guise of sarcasm and cruelty and plead with chell to finally be able to destroy her.

(Though I doubt the crazed rouge program/personality that is Cave Johnson would allow such a thing.)

(All speculative of course, she could just be a b*tch)

GlaDOS isn't sentient.

Think of AM, instead of a prisoner.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I've watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those ... moments will be lost in time, like tears...in rain.
Time to die.

There is a theory about that you know. A guy wrote good few pages, in which he states that GLaDOS'es plan is to do exactly that. He ponders that GLaDOS constantly treats you like nothing, makes you kill the companion cube and more or less gives you all the motivation to kill her, so that she could escape. It's an interesting theory, and we'll see if it's true in the near future.

And yeah, I hope so too. After all, she is a life form of a kind, thus more than likely has feelings. Then again, we're talking about a video game, and I don't think morale really applies in there, as everything is decided to be one way or the other by the developers.
