I bought Batman during the steam sale some 10 days ago and played the hell out of it. Then yesterday, some strange things started happening. I'm at the part where I have to go to Joker's party, and have done all but 2 of the riddles, so basically at 79% of the game.
First of all, the game started running pretty slow, with about 4 seconds of loading whenever I opened a door. A few minutes later, I couldn't use the glide anymore, it did not work. Few minutes later still, some grapple spots dissapear, and some others appeared that allowed me to grapple outside of the map and find myself in a dark void under the general area where the game takes place. And now on top of all of that, the "party" i'm supposed to go to completely dissapeared (no henchmen around, nothing going on in the visitor's center), and I can't do anything with my game anymore. After some research on google I quickly gathered all those bugs were osme kind of anti-piracy meadure, which I understand but... I bought my game legitimately! :(
Anyone know a solution to this ?? I tried re-downloading the game on steam, no change. I fear that my save might have been marked as "pirated", meaning I'd have to start the game all over again maybe, but at 79%...I kinda don't feel like doing it all again :/
I don't even know if I should contact steam support or Eidos on this...?

worse come worse though uninstall/reinstall and see what happens.
chances are if it went off though, it went off for a reason.
have you tried modding/hacking the game? cracks? any other alterations?

I did uninstall/reinstall it, to no avail unfortunately. At least with my savegame. Frankly I really can't be bothered to start a new game and get to 79% of the game again to see if it still breaks...
And I didn't install any cracks or mods or alterations of any sorts, it's nothing but the original game in there...(frankly if I had, I wouldn't be posting here, I would at least know *why* the bugs appeared...)

Did you revoke the license, uninstall, check if the install folder is all cleaned out, then redownload the game?

Well no I did not, and will try it straight away ! (though "straight away" is not exactly the correct term seeing as the re-download will take a loooong time :) )
