Nice. Now all that needs to happen is for the prices to start dropping for the HD58X0 cards and I'll upgrade.

That's really bad timing by Nvidia. The winter is over - those new graphics card could come handy during cold nights.

Actually cards for $570 are a pretty decent price.
My last ATi pos caught on fire if you want to compete which card is hotter.
I am happy with my ATI HD RADEON 5870 though.. DirectX11 too :)

Cool story, so we are comparing old hardware with current gen now?
Cards are not decently priced, this gen of cards is brutal price wise compared to last gen, Nvidia dropped the ball and couldn't force ATI to lower prices. Customer loses this round.

You do realize of course, that these monster DX11 cards are priced less than the first DX10 versions Nvidia put out? (8800GTX & ULTRAS)
You can shove all ATI cards and anything to do with L4D in the trash compactors!!!

Finally, yes indeed, finally.
ATI isn't an option for me, since ATI gaming cards have been notoriously bad with the OpenGL 3D apps I have to use, while Nvidia cards perform great in both games and 3D apps.
I don't agree with "shoving ATI cards... in the trash compactors", although I do think L4D belongs there. ;)
ATI has its place in the world... ATI performs excellently in helping to keep Nvidia prices from going through the roof. ;)

Considering I'm a L4D fan and a 5770 owner I feel somewhat insulted here. :p

Thats years out of date you know. I use Cinema 4D with an ATI all the time, all features supported, totally stable. Same with 3DS max (though thats direct x). When I've breifly tried Maya, it's fine & stable too.

Well it's not entirely outdated - I still read of people having problems with ATI gaming cards with Maya and Softimage and Lightwave3d, while I don't see much of that in relation to Nvidia gaming cards.
(I make the distinction of "gaming" cards, because ATI's FireGL and FirePro series cards appear to be much better suited to 3D OpenGL and DX apps)
But it's not just that either - I've been using Nvidia video cards exclusively, and I'm used to the Nvidia Control Panel, the drivers, and how to use it all.
Plus, for the time being, I need CUDA, for an in-house custom app I use.
Though, like everything computer hardware and software-related, some people have problems with things while others don't, so I guess I shouldn't say ATI is notoriously bad with OpenGL as if it were 100% fact, because it isn't.
