View Full Version : "SpellForce 2: Faith of Destiny" coming to Steam?!

Title explains it all.


Just got mailed today by Amazon that the 2nd Addon for SpellForce 2 (yay <3 \o/) will be released soon, so I really want to know if there might be a Steam version as well, since i tend to buy my Games in the Steam shop for quite a while now. = )

*Hooray*, thx there for the answer, was already about to buy it as non-steam retail-version (own both, retail and Steam Version of SF2+Addon, last one 'cause its easier and more comfortable to use without disc-installing etc. :D), but since i can have it for my Steam Acount as well I'll just be a bit more patient and wait. ^^

lol sounds great, i'd really like this game and have enjoyed it for awhile, so I will buy it for sure! :) um, how long we must wait until it will be released? :)

Does this mean that there is a chance of Steam patching to resolve some of the technical problems that numerous people (myself included - see my post below) have been experiencing?

I still can't get the main game to work, so although I'd be interested in the follow-on content will not go there until I can resolve the existing tech problems.

I've received no replies from JoWood or on the board here, and am really running out of ideas to try to fix the problem.

The error during plattform switch issue is based on the savegame and not directly related to the program.

Just wanted to say, Hooray! I absolutely love the spellforce 1 campaigns, and had the first Spellforce 2 campaign on disc a while back. Can't wait to get all of Spellforce 2 on Steam together! People keep comparing the game to other rts games, or other rpg games, but they just don't seem to get the point of how great a hybrid these games are. Fantastic game, JoWooD, and can't wait to see what the future is bringing for it!

Read a Release Date lately in a games mag.

It shall be released in January '11. Let's hope the best that it won't be delayed any more.

We are still working on that title. The release date hasn't been fixed yet. I wouldn't expect it in Q1 any more. I will keep you updated as soon as there is anything new.

I figured as much, since it was pushed back to Jan earlier, but it is good to have official confirmation.
