CoP crashes upon startup

Well, after my first vanilla play through, I figured I'd install the S.M.R.T.E.R. mod. After quick saving then quitting, it crashed. Now the game itself will not startup without crashing. Any ideas? I don't really wanna uninstall the mod.

Well if the game won't even start what can you do about it... not much.
All can do is try a work-around to see what the issue(s) might be.
You don't have to remove SMRTER, simply rename the "gamedata" folder (for example "smrter_gamedata". Now try loading up CoP. If it works then obviously a file within the mod could be corrupt or something along those lines. To re-enable your mod(s), simply rename folder back to gamedata.

Well, that didn't work. Still didn't boot up properly. Not clue what it could be though.

Well, I'm at a complete loss here. I uninstalled the game, reinstalled, yet still a crash ensues. If anybody has ANY solution, please, do tell.
