I was enchanting my favourite weapon using the enchant guy (can't remember the name, but he stands next to the mappy lad), it was going fine, I was able to enchangt without a failure for about 10 times in a row. 11th, failed. Not just failed, it totally removed all my previous enchants!

I was devastated, since with this weapon I was able to beat the final boss without using a potion, without dying, without running away.

Previous enchant failures caused me to find a new weapon, but this time, it was my THE ultimate weapon of all time (it does about 819damage, with awhole bunch of enchants, with average attack speed) rage quitting will result the game syncing with steam cloud, so I used somewhat different approach this time.

Alttabbing out, then load up the task manager, clicking end-process button. It worked like a charm, when I fired up the game, the game asked me whether if it should use steam cloud save or local save file (this message is shown like this: your local save file is newer than the one of steam cloud save file).

Click cancel (it's not no, yes and cancel), the game will fireup, and you will get back what you've lost during the last enchantment.

I know it's a cheap way, but hey, I can never find tier weapon that can do such damage, and hey... I invested almost 250,000 gold for this...

You can also just backup your save file somewhere before you go enchanting happy, playing hardcore, etc. Just backup regularly and replace the save file when something bad happens. You can safely do it from the title screen, no need to quit the game.

Or you could simply use a mod.

If you are going to recover from failed enchants by reloading old saves then you might as well use an enchant mod as the poster above mentioned.
It's equally "cheap" without the hassle of having to end processes or copy save games.

To make it slightly less "cheap", I use Fairweather Enchant mod.
It removes the fail chance from enchanting but makes it about 10 times more expensive.
There is another enchant mod out there that just removes the fail chance without touching the price but I find that too "cheap".

You can find both mods on Torchleech.
