So I've been playing L.U.R.K., and it's amazing! But, one problem.

Whenever night comes along this happens:

Weird thing is, it happens in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Complete 2009 as well, except instead of solid color it's slightly translucent.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Oh and all settings are decently high, except Dynamic Lighting which is off.

What's wrong exactly?
I don't understand what the issue is here.

BTW ~ You're not going to fully experience L.U.R.K. or STALKER COMPLETE without Full Dynamic Lighting.

Both mods use custom shaders made with dynamic lighting in mind. When it's off, all graphical enhancements of the mods are probably untested and ugly.

Dang, every time I turn on Dynamic Lighting, the mouse lags a WHOLE lot. I've only got 512MB of Dedicated Video Memory, so I'm not sure it would be able to handle those things.

I also have only 512MB of video ram and I played with no probs (I didn't try L.U.R.K. though!). I've seen some kind of console command for getting rid of the mouse lag but can't find it ATM.

I was getting mouse lag too. See this thread for a possible solution:

I set cam_inert to 0.0 in the console and turned off vsync and it worked for me.

I have a 8800GTS, which is pretty old, and it runs Lurk pretty well. Maybe your PC is even older than mine.

That's the one I've been talking about, yup.

Another thing you can try is to set your max frames rendered ahead to something less. If you have an nvidia card the Nvidia Control Panel (NCP) has a setting under "Manage 3D Settings" for "Maximmum pre-rendered Frames", which is set to 3 by default. That means your CPU is pre-rendering frames ahead of time.
Setting it higher would seem to be the solution for mouse lag, but actually setting it lower, to 2, seems to help in some games, and is what many people recommend. I don't have a problem with SoC since my rig chews it up and spits it out, but it helped with mouse lag in Clear Sky and Far Cry 2, which are far more demanding games.
That's if you have an nvidia card - if you have an ATI card I'm sure there's an equivalent in its drivers, but I wouldn't know where to look.

512 vram is enough, at least for complete 2009
