At the moment I'm using a microsoft bluetooth keyboard so its got a huge amount of lag for first person shooters.

I've got my eyes on the Razer lycosa because I like the look and it has 1ms polling and upto 10 keys can be used at once. Only problem is I see so many posts about its keys can stop working and the lettering on the keys rubbing off within two years. I'm hoping these were the first ones off the line and have been updated. The Razer Mamba mouse I got was flawless quality and hasnt let me down.

Anyone had experiece with the Razer Lycosa keyboard and whats the logitech G110 like does it have a 1ms polling and does it have anti ghosting? Do the keys tilt when pressed that annoys me.

It has to have backlit keys:)
Has to have 1ms response time.
Has to have anti ghosting = lots of keys pressed at a time.

G15 or G19, best gaming keyboards you can have, lots of G keys you can bind game commands too.

Light up keyboard pretty cool, display is very useful, supports Teamspeak 3, IRCd, PC information.

Can't go wrong.

The only really defining characteristic on the Lycosa is the type of keys it uses. They are essentially laptop keys: very low profile and they use scissor switches rather than rubber dome switches. I found that I couldn't stand them for gaming purposes.

If I may suggest it, there is a niche market of keyboards you may want to look into: mechanical keyboards.

This thread will tell you everything you could ever need to know about them.

Gaming keyboards are mostly gimmicks, but Logitech's G15 is fantastic.

yea your right about gimmicks on gaming keyboards I'm not after extra buttons. What Im really after is the response time and keys that have the best feel to them sometimes when im strafing my dude stops, guess thats me holding down too many keys at a time most keyboards are limited to three keys max at the same time. I hate keys that tilt to one side as you type and ones that you have to press down a huge distance most keyboards are still like the Amstrad 464.

It's Razer or the Logitech just cant make up my mind im using wireless keyboards so any would be better think Il go plug in my wired mega cheap keyboard and see if i prefiar the low porfile keys. Thx for the help so far guys.

That mechanical key link is a good read thx.

Gonna get the Logitech G110 it does away with the displays to save cash. The ideal one would of been the logitech illuminated keyboard but you can only press two keys at the same time:(

Thx for the info guys.

Hehe. That sentence just made me laugh. So a screen on a keyboard isn't considered a gimmick?!?!

Anyway in my opinion the best gaming keyboard i have come across has to be the Razer Tarantula. Keystrokes are like touching a laptop (Short key presses). Response times are unbelievable and... Well it's just an amazing keyboard.

Oh and theres no gimmicks ;)
