"X" Key crashes game

Hi,
Had this problem with the old M&B, and now with warband, too. Everytime I bind an action (say, jump or attack) to the "X" key, and then use/press that key in game, the game crashes to desktop. Very effing annoying. Since I am an old school gamer, I am very fond of using my X key. Anybody else have this problem?

That's odd...

The X key works ok for most people I'm sure, as it's one of the keys used by this game, so I'd say it's something to do with your system somehow, but I jsut can't see how it could have anything to do with anything.. Maybe X is a quick button for something on your pc...

There might be some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bind on your keyboard. Mine used to have a built in "Ctrl+Space" bind that opens an internet browser. I never figured how to get rid of it, so I got a new one. Just a possibility.

Are you sure you aren't hitting alt when you hit X or have sticky keys on for alt?
Alt+X crashes the game for me, my finger slips sometimes when i go to couch :(

Like I mentioned before, this is a problem I had with the original M&B where the game would crash if the X key was pressed one or more times in game. I was playing last night and accidentally hit the key again after un-binding it and it still crashed to desktop. My keyboard is a Microsoft Natural Ergonomic 4000. It's pretty much the only keyboard I'll use since my left hand would always cramp up with smaller keyboards. I think I'll have to see if I have the install disc and manual to see if I can sort this out. It's just odd that problem only occurs with this game, never any other. Go figure.

O.k., so I figured this "x" key thing out. It turns out you were right. I usually bind my X key to jump or kick in the game, and I usually assign the left-ALT key to move left, so sometimes I'd hit these keys together leading to a crash to desk-top. So, do you know if there is a way to prevent this from happening? I have sticky keys disabled on my system.
