View Full Version : Clear Sky Complete - Remove the Wish Granter?

First off, let me say I think the Wish Granter part of the Clear Sky Complete mod is an extremely cool addition and I applaud the whole thing, so I'm not complaining about it at all. :)

But for me, it's too much of a temptation to have in there. I want to play CS Complete through at least once, for the various fixes and improvements, but I don't want to be tempted to cheat when things get bad. And that's what the Wish Granter in CSC is - a very advanced in-game cheat system that can give you money, artifacts, weapons, ammo and pretty much anything you might want.

Although IMO, Stalker games lose alot when you start cheating - for me, a huge part of the fun is trying to survive and deal with situations, so I'm not big on cheats.

So does anyone know how to go about removing (or at least disabling) just the Wish Granter part of Clear Sky Complete? There was no real readme in the download, no optional installs, and I'd have no idea where to start.

Thanks. :)

I was using it, but then I stopped.

Solved the problem for me.

I think if you set a action to the button that makes it show up, it will break it. Id recommend just not paying attention to it if you ever want to use it.

Can't use lack of willpower as an excuse to remove a feature a lot of people seem to use. If I'm going for a serious playthrough just forget it's there, no temptation.

In gamedata\scripts you'll find this file ui_main_menu.script.bak, change its name to ui_main_menu.script and rename or remove currently used one. It will say ver. 0.9, but it's ok, there won't be a tempting option.

The list of features is up: http://artistpavel.blogspot.com/2010/01/mod-clear-sky-complete.html

Thanks for that, artistpavel, and that's a real nice web page you have for it too. :)

I've decided to just keep it in there though. I can resist the temptation. ;)
