Gmod help, URGENT

Alright, I see some funney l4d2 videos on youtube made from gmod and decide hey, ican do that!
So, i open gmod and try to add l4d2 to my content but it wouldnt even show up!Yes, i have it installed on steam and i have tried restarting gmod and steam but nothing will work! HELP!:confused::mad::o

GMod can't mount L4D2 unless you get an addon like this (http://www.garrysmod.com/news/?p=9246). It's a bit buggy, though (L4D/L4D2 maps don't work)

Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 are source games, however, until recently uve had to extract and convert them manually. Some genius made a mod that allows importation of all source games including l4d and l4d2. Get it here

dont get the lite. they are both completely free anyway, i think lite is just lacking a few features for a faster download.

They should come preset with spawnmenus and icons, so dont go searching ur folders ingame. I use this and it works great. just remember to restart gmod after selecting left 4 dead and left 4 dead 2 to mount.

but the reason l4d maps dont work is cuz they are a different type and have different codes and triggers that the gmod engine wont work with. and garry said he wont change it to the l4d engine cuz it would lose any modability. so no one could make stuff for it. which would defeat the purpose. so NO

also, how is this urgent? urgent mean ur a machinima maker who is 3 days from the promised release date and gmod keeps crashing. u cant uninstall cuz u need all the custom contents intact. then it would be urgent. not "i feel like making a l4d2 machinima with no fore thought but cant find the model"
