Hey is it just that my computer sucks, since the pictures steam showed of this game seemed a lot better than what I'm seeing.

From what I read on the Taleworlds forum, I think it is because Steam enabled HDR. I don't know where to enable it tough, can't find it.

Graphical options should be in the options under the "graphics tab." Although there are some (like the DX7 setting) that have to be enabled via "Configure" in the Warband Launcher. It does look quite nice at full graphics, I'd say. Especially with the new textures

It looks just as good as the pictures for me... Are you sure you have everything turned up?

HDR is turned on in the launch options, but you also have to turn up the settings in game for maximun benefit. Sometimes you can even get some really cool sceenes if you angle the camera to catch light on your character!

Second this. I have a masterwork 2 handed cleaver and the light on that horrific jagged blade as I hold it over my head to split some poor archer is quite pretty.

Shame the blood on my character makes me look like I've been dyed... :(

Are you kidding? I love it when, after a completly succesfull no damadge taken battle, ONLY my sword arm is covered in blood. Makes me feel like an axe murderer... or a sword murderer as it were.

Let's face it, the blood aftereffects in M&B is more akin to walking under spray guns loaded with tomato juice. Although I rarely get to do this, 'Hard' + 'Fast' usually means I can take 6-7 hits at most even in Plate.

But have you seen the 'spurts' when an arrow hits you? Or when you slice the legs off a X-bowman trying to stop you leaving the top of the siege ladder? I really like what happens when I put an arrow in a Looter's head just as he's about to rout... probably makes it easy for CSI: Calradia to analyze the blood spatter patterns.

i was in the front row of a siege defense, right where the ladder goes up. After taking out like 70 people the entire top half of my character was solid red.
