Counter Strike: Source minimizes on server join

Whenever I join a server, for a split second I see the "motd" and CS:S minimizes and all I can do is close it. I reinstalled and no luck. It wasn't doing this before, but I don't know if this is related at all but I saw downloading something about "reo" on several servers, that probably means nothing but never mind. I was wondering if anyone has encountered my problem and has a fix. Thanks!

Bump means you bump the thread to the top of the page but the post doesn't really contain any substance.

I've seen this issue before too. Something to do with servers running sv_pure I think. Sometimes I'm able to maximize it and play, other times I have to close CSS.

Really just avoid the servers that do it to you, that's what I do.

I have the same problem, but it does it to me on every single server, course I didn't get any help from valve... or the forums... so I don't really know what to do, if you find out what's wrong, hit me up with a pm.

I had a similar problem some time ago; had something to do with the MOTD and IE. My IE was corrupt, and each time the MOTD tried to open up a webpage (on server join), CS:S would minimize and sometimes IE would give me an error message. It would not minimize on servers without a specific MOTD webpage.

Later I had to reformat my HDD, and after a new OS install the issue was fixed.
