Unique game, the mix between FPS and the crappy world of warcraft rpg gameplay makes this game awesome!
I was always skeptical about buying this game but now i gave it a try i regret i hadnt bought it before!

O-okay... so... where exactly "the crappy world of warcraft rpg gameplay" transforms into an awesome game? :/

Because this game has the good elements of a rpg game, that combined with fps make it awesome!

The problem with this games is that is too addictive. I got it in the weekend deal, by then i was in the fence of to buy or not to buy it, but in the end i made the right choice, now i'm loving it.

I sat on the fence for a long time with this, but a friend told me how good it was and so couldn't resist the weekend deal!
The most similar game I've played is Fallout 3, but Borderlands has more combat.

I've had tons of fun with this game all weekend. Great buy. I'm sure I'll get the DLC sooner or later.

Imo wouldnt say awesome, good more appropriate. If it was not a console port it would have the possibility of being "awesome"
But hey thats just my opinion and ur all entitled to urs :D

Absolutely FANTASTIC game. I've been in for around 4-5 hours now, level 22 Hunter.
It's one of the best ports I've ever seen, although I did read that it was built for the PC specifically? Even if that's not the case there really is nothing about it that screams port in a detrimental way at all.
Stable (for me at least), looks wonderful, plays like an absolute dream.
If you didn't take advantage of the deal I feel for you. :)

The only problem is that there is not an option to enable vsync and antialiasing.
But you can activate them outside game with nHancer, so no problems!
I got the DCL yesterday and they are awesome. The areas are more detalied, the zombie island one is currently my favorite!
There is a lot of whining one could do about this game and really some parts feel a bit unfinished. Still, even with some flaws which I dont have time to get into, borderlands makes up for them by being really fun. Other critically acclaimed games I have not found as fun as borderlands. Sure, the game is ultra repetative and has no good dialog or story, but it somehow manages to stay interesting no matter how many thousands of bandits I slay!

I find that hard to believe. The font size is huge and half the menus don't work with the mouse. It seems optimized for television, similar to Oblivion.
Still, even though some people are having problems Borderlands has proven to be one of the most stable games I've ever played. It's gorgeous, immersive, rewarding, and really really fun.

I love the game, but there are some times when the menus get annoying and the guns take too much of the screen. Even with that, I'm having a lot of fun, and I love Diablo-style loot hunting so should get many hours out of this.

Awesome indeed, I love it! Just should use Steam instead of Gamespy
