This GFWL Update is still causing me headaches.

Sorry to make a topic. I do realise a sticky is on the topic.
But twice I have left the game updating to find the update finished, I decline raptr but then the "RFG Launcher.exe" or whatever it is crashes. So I re-enter the game through Steam and the same thing happens.

I then reset Steam and verify the game to reset the changes. I redid the process and the same thing happened. (So in other words the sticky didnt help me).

Verified the integrity - 10 files wouldn't (had to download them again)
Started up the game (worked), GFWL told me it had to update... did that (again) and what do you know... RFG loader crashed with an error relating to ImpulseReactor.dll not being found.
Verified the integrity and as before, 10 files needed redownloading...:mad:

Exect same problem. Only the second time when it asked me if I wanted to install the Windows Live update, I didn't. So, even though it signed me out of Windows Live.......I could still play my game. I can't get any achievements. I can still play. When Window Live and Steam are compatible or whatever, I'll install the update. As of rite now, it seems the way to go if you wanna play this game.

I have the same problem and I've tried to verify and then install patch about 4 times now. It doesn't work. I think they're working on it but damn it's annoying (not to mention the already slow GFWL updates!).

It doesn't work for me either. It'll start updating, get a tenth of the way done, and then the progress bar will stay there, not moving, for 30 seconds, before the game crashes. So I'm stuck with single player. I've verified the game like 10 times now, says it's all good, but still crashes. I really hope the patch fixes this, I was looking forward to the MP

the launcher exe. is what is causing the problems. if u copy the old launcher before u update then past it back into ur directory after the update the game will launch.

Steam now has the latest update, no need to update through GFWL anymore
Speed up issue is fixed=)

On a side note: Why are the GFWL updates so slow? It took me like 10+ minutes to download this, and on Steam I can get 1.5 MBp/s connection. Something doesn't quite add up.

I wish the Steam way of updating overrides the GFWL Updates. Steam is just so much better in that way.

And also: Steam obviously updated and fixed it while I wasn't looking. It works now :)
