So, is there no way to buy exactly 560 points, instead of a minimum of 800 (at $10)?

... yes there is. click the add bioware points from the social network site and it gives you a bunch of options on how many points you can buy

Bioware... unlike Pac-Man Points (Microsoft) is really good about not having excess points. I bought some points yesterday and bought DLC for DA:O and then spent the remainder of my points on some other DLC from Bioware. No change left.

Buy the points from the Dragon Age DLC page. The 560 points option is there.

Yup, it works (560 points via Dragon Age page). It comes out to about $7.50 after tax.

Someone on facebook just sent me this link here (http://social.bioware.com/brc/722671). Anyone know what it is?

@Akiba58
I saw something similar for Dragon Age on the Bioware forums. My best guess is that they're setup as a referral "partner", where they get a small portion of the sale, when the link comes from their partner ID.

I don't even know if Bioware actually does that, but that's the best explanation I can come up with for it. Otherwise, it just makes no sense for people to be redirecting their profile page to the Bioware store page.

*EDIT*
Heh, and he's banned. Looks like he was posting that link for himself, not because it was "sent to him".
