This is an insanely fun but weird mod.

The Great Forever Tomorrow is the second project by Kiwi Productions. It requires Half Life 2 Episode 2 to play. It is a singleplayer adventure through a surreal underground fortress. Features: *Original textures, complete with normal mapping. *Original voice acting and music. *Two new guns! *A story that makes sense (i.e. better than what Gateways, our first project, had). *A variety of gameplay (more than just combat). *Surreal and over the top environments.

It's actually not all that new (February 2009).

The island at the beginning was really neat. I don't know if anyone can win the boss battle without cheating, though it would be cool to see that someone can!

I liked the rest of the mod, too. But some people don't like the different look (I thought it was nice for a change).

It looks nice, but I think its too much like Half Life...

Recently, I have been in to playing more creative and inventive mods.

Too much like Half Life?! o.o did you play it?

I'm just barely starting off the underground sequence and I'm finding it both challenging and fun, very innovative. The colors, yeah, they're trippy - but the visual effects (the black and white tunnels in particular) have been VERY neat to look at. Op Art! :D Some of the puzzles (how to get that last generator... hmmmmmmm) have been extremely clever. I like it.

Exactly my question. Have you played it? The island at the beginning is sort of HL2-ish, but once you get past the start, it definitely doesn't look like Half-Life.

You could also try Gateways. It's by the same guys. (Yes, there are probably HL-looking sections to get through first.)
