I want to get this game, but my parents don't really want to use their credit cards to buy it on steam, so do you know of any stores that have the retail version of CSS? Also, I've googled it, and the only store I could find that had it was target, but that's not a possibility because the nearest target is about 100+ miles away, and I doubt that anyone wants to drive halfway across the state for a video game.

Nope, there aren't any of them within 50 miles+ of me. Kinda sucks living where I do.

You're more likely to get mugged and robbed on the way to the store than buying it from Steam and having your credit card details stolen lol.

lol, I'm not trying to go to the store to avoid getting the credit card stolen, it's just because my parents don't want any payments on that card, and buying the retail game is actually a better deal because it's bundled with Day of Defeat: Source. :D

Why do they have a credit card if they don't want to use it, anyway it wont get stolen if you buy with it on steam.I do believe that 18 million users prove that.Tell them that.

ermm, I just want the disc for the code, then I activate it on steam. That's the point of it.

No, they don't allow you because they are afraid, my mom was too.
Look buying on steam is faster, and actually more safer, and you don't even have to get up from your chair.
The only good thing at retailer is you get the box.
And i don't know about you, but in my country, price of CS:S is 2x bigger then on steam, so it was definitely a + for me.

Nah, they're not afraid, they just don't want payments on their credit card, because it actually ends up costing more than just buying it from a store.
Hell, they'd mail valve a check for $20, and get the box version of the game.

Look do what did when i wanted boxed guild wars, find any store in your country that sells css, then call them, tell them you would like to order css box via mail, they should send out packages, i believe all stores do, leave your info, and you should have your game within a week.My game came in 2 days

Yeah, the wal-mart in my town doesn't have it in stock, and I don't have a best buy anywhere near my home, and also, I couldn't find CS:S on wal-mart's website, so I guess i'm just going to buy the box version on amazon. That way I get the 3 games in one box deal for $20, instead of just buying it on steam for $20, and only getting counter-strike.

I already have HL2DM, and I play it all the time. (got it for free with nvidia offer,) but i'd like to try DOD:S, because it looks like a pretty fun game. And even if I don't like it, I can always use it for extra props in gmod. :D

If you don't have your own credit card then your too young to play the game imo. Don't like 12 year olds in my servers.

Does it matter how young he is? Obviously he's showing maturity and not acting like a kid, you are the childish one so I actually think you need to GTFO.

Ermm...
I live in the U.S, and CS:S costs $20 on steam, and $20 retail.
Also, if you get retail, you get three games for just that $20
CS:S = $20 on steam
+
DOD:S = $10 on steam
+
HL2DM = $5 on steam
-------------------------
Total Steam Price = $35
Retail Price = $20
which means, by buying retail, I actually save 15 dollars, if you want all three of those games.
I already have HL2DM, so I can just give it out as a gift if I want to. :)

I'm not too sure on that concept, because if it's a long distance, then wouldn't you need to give them a credit card number? Or do you just pay when the delivery gets there?

No you don't need to give out credit card number, i posted my story somewhere in this thread, i called up the store, told them i would like to order guild wars, and i told them i want to pay when the delivery gets here.Just left the adress, postman came in 2 days, i gave him the money, and post takes care of everything else.
So yes, pay when delivery gets here

Oh the problem is you live in the US, (checked your profile)
im from a small country Croatia, that's why you can order everything by mail, but it should work in US too, but now im not sure now anymore.
the store i ordered from is www.algoritam.hr
Its on croatian, you wont understand a thing(there is contacts (english) button on the left, but only translates contacts). In my city we don't have algoritam retailer, so i got the number off contacts on their site, and called the closest one to my city, and i ordered. So basically i can't help you find a store, but at least you know what i mean.
