That is cheating....Not using sv_cheats for example but I'm pretty sure you aren't meant to be doing that..

Wow. lol Too much work for me but those were some good tricks.

Also: Since the Companion Cube is already going to be waiting for you at the end with the cake by putting another one there haven't you gone and created a time paradox?

Way too much out of bounds to be enjoyable for me.

Hardly. Maybe in these forums but I have made plenty of constructive posts elsewhere, and I do not appreciate having to endure name calling. I merely called him on the fact that he said "without cheats" and then went out of bounds, clearly CHEATING.

I agree.

It is impressive that the OP spent the time required to figure out how to do this; I know I never would have.

Personally, out of bounds play isn't very interesting to me. It was cool for a short time when I figured out how to do it, but then I quickly realized I wasn't playing the game anymore and simply exploiting a glitch that, more-or-less, let me go anywhere I wanted on the map.

I do understand that younger players find of bounds play to be very cool because its like they have out smarted the developers somehow by finding new ways to manipulate the game in ways that weren't part of the design. Part of me suspects that Valve has intentionally not fixed this glitch because it is so popular among a their largest demographic of players.

For Portal 2, I hope that Valve fixes this glitch by making out of bound play 'instant death' as is common in most games. If not instant death, then some other solution that completely blocks out of bounds play. However, my guess is that the Portal 2 team will continue to allow out of bounds play in Portal 2 simply because it is so popular.
