Steam GTA4 Expac + Retail GTA4 Install?

Will i be able to get the expantions for GTA4 off of steam if i have the retail game installed? im assuming no but if anyone has a definite answer please let me know.

Apparently Steam only has the standalone, so the answer would be yes it will work.
EFLC and GTAIV are separate products.

Neither the Steam version nor the Retail version of the GTA4 episodes require the main GTA4 game.

I have the steam version of the game, and the retail version, but using the steam installed version. Will this work aswell if I go purchase the retailed DLC's from the shop?

You have to understand that Episodes from Liberty City is standalone game, its not DLC thats runs of GTA4, it doesnt need GTA4 to run, so you dont even have to own GTA4 to be able to play Episodes from Liberty City, hopes that clears everything up
