AD was by far the best in the Aquanox series. Any chance we'll see it come to Steam?

Thats not in the hand of JoWooD. The rights to AD belong to Blue Byte/Ubisoft.

yeah I played archimedian dynasty many years ago I loved it one of the best games ever made. Aquanox is quite good but I did miss the station interaction you had but in aquanox that part of the game is gone :(
Love the sub combat!

Yeah Archimedean Dynasty is one of those games I always think back to like a good book.

Love the sub combat!

AN2 same as AD. Same interaction inside. Looks like the same but more arcade.

AN1 is nice game, but somehow out scope, happy and bright picture I think.

Archimedean Dynasty is a real pain in the butt to get working on modern computers. I've got the original and believe me, I've tried. It works ok with software acceleration, but so far there's simply no way to get it working properly with hardware acceleration unless you have a 3DFX card. :(

It's a real shame though.. AD is one of the best games I've played. Maybe even a remake, I hated those Aqua Nox games due to a) hideous voice acting, b) cartoony style c) stupid "virtual hud", resulting with no claustrophobic submarine combat. :1 Lots of things about immersion were stripped out and that killed it for me.. I'd love to see a remake of Terra Nova: Strike Force Centauri too.

AQ and AQ2 are both on steam but not Archimedian Dynasty, thats literally only putting the last two books of a trilogy on the shelves and not distributing the first.

I only managed to get AD 'cause I found it in Cash Coverters (Ohhhh yeahhh), what about all the other peepz who can't get it coz its so anchient!

Vote 'Yea' below for AD release on STEAM!

Besides the question of the rights-holder, there's also certain
requirements for a game to be met, to be put on Steam.

Archimedean Dynasty is a DOS game, it may just be incompatible
with this platform, and an overhaul is unlikely.

I stand corrected, there are DOS games
available on steam. Thanks mrmotinjo for
pointing this out.:)

But for running AD on modern systems, DOSbox does the
trick, I was just installing it today, and it works
like a charm.

So, but yeah, I'd love to see a remake.

And for Aquanox, I liked it for what it was.
It was another game, in the same setting.
But I always did love arcade games too.;)

Well, there are DOS games available on Steam, X-COM for example. They run (perfectly) through a mildly modified DOSBox... So I'd like to see AD making an appearance, too :)
I understand that it's not JoWood's IP, though. If it were, it would probably have been made available already :)
