Controller question

Is there a way to see which buttons the game is supposed to use on a gamepad (like with a 360 one or whatever)? I'm trying to get mine to match it but it's a pain as I guess they're labeled differently.

thanks for this! i spent a lot of time doing trial and error to figure these out. maybe these images should be consolidated in a single controller thread?
