After playing 3 games made by valve (l4d2,gmod and cs:S)i have lost faith in the people who play these games.

Gmod:Full of idiots and kids who call each other minge.

Left 4 dead 2:Full of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥s who will kick you simply because they are bored or just tk you when they have to go.

CS:S= This is the tipping point.I found more hackers than any other game i have ever played put together. VAC is ♥♥♥♥ and cant detect their useless hacks.

This was all in a few days.:mad::mad::mad:

So you dont want to play games because of bad communities? You wont be able to play any games then.

Garrys Mod is very fun and sure it can be full of idiots but there are many servers that are free of idiots.

L4D2 is the same way. Every online community has its fair share of idiots. There are groups for L4D2 to help you find servers that use teamwork and generally good players.

As for CSS, I have not run into hardly any cheaters at all in basically 2 years of playing it. VAC does a great job at removing hackers and so there are so few cheaters around. I have no idea what you have been doing to see that many cheaters, but some people are just really good. Does not make them cheaters.

So, all in all, find some friends, through life or through steam groups, and you should be fine. Otherwise, you should just stop playing online games because every game has idiots.

Dur i agree with d10... although why just try those games? HL2DM was great but... nvm and tf2 is great! but everything and everywhere there is idiots... and if you are that picky, i am pretty sure your friends list (real life +INGAME) is pretty small... because there is cheaters in real life, ♥♥♥ holes in real life, and annoying kids in real life... just deal with it... doesn't mean you shouldn't have fun in a game where it is meant for you to have fun...

Mm, I only partially agree with 3.
When I was playing CS office, I rescued 2 of the 4 hostages (there was a huge slaughterfest over the other two), and right as I was about to rescue them, some dumb♥♥♥♥ 10$ VIP forcekilled me and then perma'd me for "not rescuing all of the hostages, make the game more fun, you ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥er"

1) Gmod is not made by Valve. And you should know better not to play on Sandbox servers unless you're playing with your friends or if the server is heavily moderated.
2) Left 4 Dead has a pretty crappy community. Being kicked for no reason happens a lot. I will say I've been kicked many times for just joining a game, and for racking up too many points :/
3) The only hackers I've seen are in Non-Vac servers. Even then, they usually end up being banned by Admins. But really, if an admin abuses you, take it up with someone on their forums or move onto another server. There's thousands of servers out there to be played on.

I have tf2 and that has few hackers but the point of this thread is that "source" engine games have now been infested by kids and hackers. Now if you dont mind im going to go do a bit of empire total war before doing some star wars republic commando. At least they dont have crappy communities. Or i might go do tf2.:D:D:D

Get some friends (hard eh?), play together. It'll be a lot more fun. You can't blame VALVE for ♥♥♥♥ communities, but as far as I know, the only game with a terrible community is CSS and maybe Gmod. But what the hell are you thinking, something like L4D2 and expect everyone to be a teamplayer?
