SC:DA Bomb defuse mission issue

So, I just played through SC:DA again to prepare for SC:C and at the end after I've fought Emile and his goons and defused the bomb, the camera simply goes to a view of the bomb room and the game freezes up.. Anyone got a solution to this?

trying verifying game cahce, and defraggin the game through properties?

I don't have it via steam, I bought the DVD version when it was released.

And yes, everything but the sound freezes.

have you tryed making a backup of your save, and re-downloading the game? one of the files coulda went retarted whilst downloading or something, also try defragin the disc its on, that worked for me when i had a issue simular on dirt2.

re-downloading probably be bad advice if you got low internet quota or something, but if re-downloading and installing dont fix it, not sure anything would :P

I bought it on steam and the same thing is happening to me and i have patched the game to whatever the ubi.com is sending.

then why are you asking for support in the STEAM forums dedicated to a DIGITAL version of the game?

may wanna try the official forums for that one, most people here won't have experience with the DVD editions of anything.

Yeah I've seen it happen a lot of times, just so used to browsing these forums for my steam games that it just happened ^^

were you using a widescreen fix?
haven't gotten there yet, and if i need be aware of a bug in that hack i may just revert to defaults :p

No I was not using any fix, I played on the only 16:9 resolution available but switched to a a 4:3, 800x600 first - then I passed the first issue but got a similiar few seconds later, then I changed to the biggest 4:3 res available, don't remember what it was - but then it worked.

I read this on the official SC forums.
