I bought the Game Months ago as Pre Order from Steam, so:

Where is MY "Steam-exclusive Phaser Turret" ?

If it was in the C-Store i would have no problem with it (because it would be avaible to me without buying the whole damn game a second time!).

But i bought from Steam and now it's a Steam exclusive i feel effed over from Steam!

It's like Cristari said, it wasn't what was advertised when you bought it so you don't get it. Do you think Steam should give you back the $30-40 that the game has been discounted (since you bought the game) because you purchased from Steam and that is what Steam customers are currently paying?

And pretty much all the retailer exclusive items suck in game. The only thing worth getting was the GameStop rifle. And that was because it was bugged to where you could shoot people through walls with it.

Sorry guys but don't mix things or talk bad if you don't know what you are talking about..

This Steam exclusive item is called "Automated Defense Turret" in the C-Store (in-game!). It's a passive weapon (within STO it belongs to the class of tactical consoles) that e.g. destroys incoming plasma torpedoes and any kind of mines that target you. It was a Steam exclusive item ever since (preorder, launch phase, discount phase etc.) and works very well.

OP, start the game, visit the ingame C-Store (NOT website). Look for "automated defense turret" and there your bonus is.

Nope, it is not the Automated Defense Turret it is a Deployable Turret -> diffrent Item.

@TreeStumpinator, that item was not bugged, that was intended because in the Series the Rifle beamed Projectiles through Walls.

like the special bonus items you got for pre-ordering this is likely a limited time offer, and its not something you have rights to get since you bought the game BEFORE the bonus was even offered. just becasue you bought the game doesnt entitle you to a bonus for buying the game Before the bonus was even created. thats like saying you should get a reimbursement if the game does on sale after you buy it.

i looked at direct 2 drive as well, and it has its own special bonus:

these are special items given out by cryptic like the special pre-order bonuses to entice NEW people to buy the game.... in otherwords the only way in hell your getting them is if you buy the game again, which you cannot do with steam >>

Nope. You purchased the game when the gift was the teddy bear. If now the gift is a beachball, you are not entitled to receiving one for free, because you already have your teddy bear. If you want the beachball, you have to buy the game again. (And Steam will most surely let you. You can add as many new STO cd keys to your STO account as you want)

Anyway, believe me, you can live without the beachball, and it will eventually be in the C-store for shure, must cheeper than a new copy)
