Deathmatch Beginner achievement is bugged?

I completed so many deathmatch games but I still didn't get this achievement. And yes, I have at least 1 frag too. Does anyone has the same problem?

I've looked into the problem and I'm not sure why aren't you getting the achievement since lots of players have earned this achievement and the code looks right. Are you sure you have played the regular deathmatch (not team deathmatch or any other kind)?

Yes, I am playing deathmatch. I am playing on dedicated servers too. Also 5 or more players always in the match but I can't get the achievement. I am entering the game now and will try it again.

Thanks again for the report, but I really can't figure out what's wrong. Since I've rearranged the achievement code (due to some other issues), you can wait for the next patch (should be out soon) to check whether the problem still persists with the different achievement awarding code. Since this is an easy achievement, you will surely get it after the patch.

I got the achievement but I needed to win the game. So I think achievement's code is wrong or so. I got it with "Look Ma, I Won!" achievement.

Thanks for that report, I found the bug! It was indeed erroneously required for you to win the match to get the beginner achievement. Sorry about that, it will be fixed immediately.

I'm having a similar problem but with the "Balls of Steel" achievement. I found all 3 cannons and earned the achievement in-game. When I later exited the game, I noticed my community profile on Steam said the achievement was still locked. So I opened the game again and it is indeed locked there as well.

Any idea what's wrong? Will I just have to achieve it again?

That is another problem which we thought was fixed by valve. It might be the case that we're doing something wrong but I doubt it since you got the popup saying that achievement was unlocked. We had such reports for other kinds of achievements before but didn't know what to think of it since once we call the steamworks api for awarding the achievement, there is nothing more we can do (to the best of our knowledge). You can check in the steam client if that achievement is shown in achievement history (we had such reports as well, saying that ahcievement popped up and was shown in history, but was shown as locked in game and in comunity profile).

About this "Deathmatch Beginner" achievement problem... I have same problem, AND i got the same problem with "Team Deathmatch Beginner" achievement. Steam tellings me I got it (on games libary), but on Steam Community, or on SSHD Menu I don't have it.

P.S.

When this patch with fixed achievements was released? I still got problems with that. :/

Until I earned another one recently, it was actually listed as my "Most Recent" achievement on the Steam Library/Games page. I assume that's what you mean by history. It's still locked in-game and on my profile though. I suppose I'll just go back and do it again, it's not exactly a difficult one to obtain.

AHH!! I forgot...

New bug: You can't play levels on singleplayer, what you pass on Coop first. SS tells: "Unable to load level."

Now, I cn't continue my game. :/

And question... If I will start game from "Ziggurath" level, do I will get achievements for game pas or for "zone pas"?

Huh, that seems like first report of a serious issue. I will check it first thing tomorrow morning and try to fix it ASAP so hopefully it would be ready for the next patch.
