Hey I haven't played eve for several years, I was wondering if anyone knew of a trail for old accounts. Several of my friends are getting into eve and are dragging me with them :P. Also if I buy the eve on steam can I apply that to current accounts? I'm debating whether its even worth reactivating my account or making a new 1 (I didn't play very long). Sorry for the horrible wording. (it also appears like my account was just a trial, Can I apply the steam game 2 a existing trial?)

I would suggest you stick to your old account, since if its from 2006-2008, people will think you're "Pro" you can use that to your advantage. ;)

No, you can't add a trial to old account.
No, you can't add Steam 30 days to already subscribed account.
Yes, you can add Steam game time to existing trial.

I think you should just restart you eve carreer, now you have double the the trainingspeed in the beginning and 2 neural remaps. That should get you going pretty fast.

This advice makes no sense to me. use your old account, you'll already have some of the basic skills you'll want to use. At the very least people will think you're an old player, and that does make a difference.

What I meant is that you can make a nice little skillplan now, to get started, that skillplan will be done @ 200% trainingspeed. And after you've dont the basics you wanted, you can redistribute your stats. This means that you can plan your carreer plan better than with an old account that didn't do train a lot.
And no, it doesnt make a difference. In normal alliances you are selected on SP and what you can do. If you havent gone that far in the beginning, and got randomly skilled, you're no better than any new toon. Lieing doesnt work, you will have to give your API key anyway.

200% trainingspeed
If you have more then 1.6 million skillpoints (roughly 2 months playtime) you can keep your old character, because you won't benefit from the faster training beyond that amount of skillpoints.
If you have less then 1.6 million skillpoints, you should consider starting from scratch.
(just trying to clarify why Helicity and Breezerrrr give opposite advice)
