TSE came out in worse form then TFE. This game contains dozens of bugs, from small and annoying, to big a depressive. Here are most urgent:
1. Shaders bug: The first second I started the game, I was looking at mountains for several minutes. After some time, I figure it out why they looked so strange. In fact, everything (except vegetation, weapons, sky and enemies) looked strange. Then I looked closely to the walls and I saw this:

It looks like shader related bug. Entire scenes look like this:

It feels black, dark. In TFE I don't have this problem. Mine friend with GeForce 9600 has it as well, so it's not my system's fault. Please, fix it ASAP, it's degrading the HD experience A LOT.
2. AF is not working: This video describe everything:

Forcing AF in drivers didn't help.
3. Enemies are getting stuck everywhere. Literally. Behind the walls, behind the stones. In some places they aren't doing anything. Just standing there, watching me. The are easier to kill, but less fun.

Please, CT, fix this. Those are major bugs.
Note: TFE doesn't have anu of these problems and I'm running game on ultra (with AA turned off). My spces are Phenom II X4 @ 3.22 GHz, 4 GB DDR3 RAM and Radeon HD 5770 (everything OC).

A major bug is something that is serious enough to break the game...

Usually with getting a game this early means you're subject to numerous patches

Forgot to mention that Im running Win7 x64.
Another bug is that I can't set Partical Bias to max. Everytime I did it, after reopening Perforamce it's back on 3/4.

Whoops! Just found a nasty bug in our "GPU speed->customize" menu. If you want to set "Render LOD Bias" setting manually, it's reversed. Min is actually max, and max is min. Soooooory! :(
Will be in next patch, no worriez! :)

Generally, if you set GPU speed to one of predefined settings (in this case, "Ultra") you should be fine, and no nasty textures will hunt you.

Bug number 2 is fixed! Woot!:cool:

Another bug: In Grand Cathedral, when you leave Pumpkin Field, game tries to play battle music when enemies appears. And since there isn't battle music, music is off. It's a bit weird playing without music.

Yep, TFE has the same bug. And it's also fixed. I just don't know the schedule for TFE patch, though. :/

Well I have a few bugs to report, and since I didn't want to start a new thread I'll post them here:

1) Yesterday me and some friends were playing Coin-Op Coop, everything was nice and fun with one small exception.

It seems in Land of the Damned, when the big black Highlander's Bride foe spawns, it sometimes climbs overhouses and stomps on everyone killing them. It happened about 4 times, though a couple of times there were 1 or 2 survivors.

I think the reptiloid climbs over people/monsters that are near the first set of houses and then climbs on the houses themselves and stomps the players hiding there.


2) Apparently in Coin-Op Coop if you die in a spike trap when you respawn you respawn in the same spike-traps and die yet again. (to be precise in Valley of the Jaguar in the room with spike traps on the left and right walls)

This actually happened in TFE HD aswell in the Metropolis spike-trap.

3) Well this isn't a bug, more of a suggestion, a good number of people agree that it would be nice to have spawn-invulnerability available in coin-op coop aswell, just like in the classic coop.

EDIT: Ive just discovered another small bug. You can pick-up Serious Bomb even if you have all 3 of them. It doesn't count, though.

LOL, I experienced that also. Unfortunately it's gone for good after you pick it up even though it doesn't show up, if you wanted to come back and pick it up later after using one of the 3 you already have.

I have a bug concerning the difficutly. I've done the game on serious and even got the achievement for it, yet I can't pick Mental, its still grey and unaccessable.

A friend told me about this today aswell. However you can access Mental from the custom difficulty screen it seems...



Edit: I kinda found a minor bug. When recording demos, if I tap the zoom button on the sniper during playback the sniper sometime stays zoomed resulting in awkward moments in which I zoom all over the palce on point blank things.

I think that this thing with Serious Bomb picking is not a bug. In general, if an item triggers something (a fight, a secret, a spawn...) you can always pick it, even if your inventory is full with that type of item already. The reason for such behavior is I guess obvious. :)

Hmm, considering that you can't pick it up in orginal TSE, nor any ammo in HD if you have full magazine, I really don't see any reason.

Hmm, I'm pretty sure you can't actually pick-up the item if your inventory/hp is full. You do trigger the event but as far as I know the item stays there... Well at least thats the case in most of my TFE HD / TSE HD experiences.


EDIT: Oh yea, any idea bout the demo zoom-in bug?

Also found a demo bug, you can't see mordekai in the demo playback, hes simply invisible, at least for me. Can anyone confirm?

I'm not at my pc so i'm not 100% sure exactly which map it was..
but here's what happened:

i had been playing for maybe an hour. In the midst of a swarm I hit a checkpoint and autosave kicked in (i turned it on, i'm bad about forgetting to save)

Screen freezes and everything locks up for about 5-10 seconds
when it resumes it looked like my video card was artifacting.
(i have a gtx 260, and with the recent driver issues it scared the crap out of me)
i exited the game, still artifacts on the desktop
Checked temps 61c (normal) no overclocking or anything like that.

I rebooted, and everything's fine.



A couple of things that may have something to do with it,
i forced cpu to ultra instead of high (i have an e8400)
i enabled autosaving.

I'm thinking cpu=ultra means quad core.
i'm assuming the Game tried to launch a thread to save the game, didn't have the cores to do it, ended up paging and corrupting vram.

Cut cpu back to high instead of ultra and everything's fine played 3+ hours without issue.


It could be nvidia's problem as they've not had good luck with driver code as of late, or it could be Serious Engine 3.

I figured it'd be worth mentioning.

I was just going back to view old single player survival demos that I had recorded and was surprised that I was unable the play any of the ones I recorded before the last patch. Is this normal in the Serious Sam series? Shouldn't we be able to save are old demos?
