my problem is i cant get past the 1st loading screen all i get is a problem caused the program to stop running,ive tryed reinstalling it 3 times ive tryed to run it in offline mode but i get same message . does any 1 have any idea as to what is causing this problem and how to resolve it .thx for any help

I have the same problem, but I honestly have no idea how to find my system specs. I think because i have a shared computer and it is a vista that makes it hard, but f anyone has any helpful advice it would be appricated :D

yes no pror appreciate your input , oh i also read that deleting your script folder in the documents and settings might resolve it but its not in my doc and settings .anyway heres my specs

i start ETW i come to loading screen,
i see the creator´s of game and it shuts dont without any error message...
I CONNTACT steam support and they cannot help me! WTF!!!!!!

i got mine working like this

Go to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\empire total war\ and delete the Scripts folder.

This worked for me and the game runs now!! I read that if that didn't work, try deleting the entire Empire folder and then checking the cache integrity through Seam.

So this ETW is still a steaming pile? Too bad, I was thinking of giving it another go but don't want to download it again if it's not worth playing.

i got it to run by using XP SP3 compatibility mode (on 7 x64). loading times are outrageously long (that's on quad core with 4gb ram and 1gb 5770?!).

good thing that this is demo i'm trying and not the full game. ain't gonna buy it.
