According to bigdownload (http://news.bigdownload.com/2010/05/04/rumor-is-a-mac-version-of-killing-floor-in-the-works), Killing Floor and Red Ochestra will be getting mac versions soon:
However Tripwire's president John Gibson officially confirmed to Big Download today that both Red Orchestra and Killing Floor would indeed be released for the Mac. In addition to the regular games, the Mac ports will have access to all of the downloadable content available for both titles. They will also have Steam achievements and cross-platform multiplayer with their PC counterparts. An exact release date for the Mac ports has not been revealed but Gibson told us it should happen around the time the Mac Steam client is officially available or soon afterward.

A grim, death filled game on a cheery user friendly Mac UI?
It's like putting a zombie into Kirby's Dreamland!

Mac is not userfriendly tril.

LOL. It was...badly wrapped sarcasm. I've never liked Apple products due to one and only one thing: the UI. Everything about it, the appearance, the sound effects, everything that can be seen, heard, and felt, I find very unattractive in a computer.

It's a bit hypocritical for a windows user to acuse OSX of being non-userfriendly
On-Topic.Yay!Hope Steam puts the Mac version up when the Mac version's out!

How hypocritical if you've used both platforms? I find that it prevents me from getting things done and just adds extra steps, especially when they were including the single button mice with the absurd scrollball.

I've used both platforms as well and find windows to be horribly slow, prone to interrupting your games with updates and designed to be as annoying as possible (looking at you here windows key!)
And Macs have had two buttons/right-click for ages now (or are you talking about the Magic Mouse?)

Again, that is your opinion just as my opinion is mine and mine alone. Therefore, you can not call anyone a hypocrite just because their opinion differs from the one you happen to hold to be true.

buy a keyboard that has the facility to disable the windows key whilst gaming?
and no, you dont need to pay a fortune: my backlit MS reclusa gaming keyboard only cost me 15 quid brand new!:p

Most games have the Super key disabled anyway. And beyond that, if you cant use a keyboard without hitting the super key well... you need to re-take some touch typing classes or something because really, its not that hard.

a) "Super Key" (as you seem to call it for some odd reason) is right between the Control key and the Alt key*,both of whom are commonly used in keybinding. This alone garuntees at least 1 accidental press
b) How many of those games/gaming keyboards replace "Super Key" with a key that can actually be used for something like keybinds (like OSX's command key?)
c) "Most Games" seems to mean "So few games they can be counted on one hand" (the only one I can think of now is Starcraft II)
d) So I should pay £15 (give or take) just to make up for poor OS design?
*Or on my keyboard between the alt key and the spacebar

Calling it Super Key is a bad habit I picked up using Linux.
Just because you bind CTRL,ALT, and SPACE does not mean you will hit it. EVER. I personally don't. Again, its not that hard to use a keyboard.
Most games being all of my IDTECH based games, some UE3 games (Bioshock I believe), etc. I don't care to go through the game list and test because it isn't an issue for me to begin with.

I seldom press the windows key either.I feel my point about it being a useless waste of space whose only purpose seems to be to [EDITED OUT SO I'M NOT ACCUSED OF STARTING A FLAME WAR] still stands though (as does my point about the fact that it takes up a spot that could be occupied by something more useful [see question B])

It is useful. It calls up the start menu which can be used to perform a search, open applications, or in combination with other keystrokes, can be used to perform a large number of tasks and macros in windows.
This is also true of its behaviour in Linux and eComStation as well. It is a very useful key to have IMO, same goes for the Menu key by the right CTRL. Lack of the Super key and the Menu key is the sole reason I stopped using my IBM Model M2 and got the newer IBM KB-0225 keyboard.

I've never used Linux and "Windows Key=BAD" is so engrained in my memory that I NEVER press that key even when I'm not gaming so I'll just take your word on that.

Come on, searching or tweaking the registry or even avoiding the key to begin with are TOO HARD. He needs his Mac so he doesn't have to worry about such horribly difficult things ;)

This is a rather odd turn of events from last night. Somebody makes an account just to argue about the Windows key?
Reminds me of the Sharp-hate-happy Gal. Ah, the good old days.
