Ok so usually after a couple of races, always within an hour Dirt 2 freezes and then crashes to desktop. Its running from steam.
I'm running on Windows 7 64 with Radeon 5850.
I've tried messing with the CCC 3d settings with no joy, including disabling catalyst AI and I've tried rolling back the drivers for the graphics card. Can't find any solutions within this forum or anywhere else on the web.
I love this game but it keeps crashing! Help!

I got this game the other day and have been playing it without any issues until earlier today...went to close it and it just sat there...had to manually reboot my PC...just did it again after a finished a race. Had been working fine until today oO

Well I played the game for five hours before it froze an crashed for the first time and now it keeps doing it whenever it feels like it but always within an hour at very random points. Sometimes after a race, sometimes during.

The first thing you need to do is change the Audio from "Rapture" to "Software." You can change it to Hardware if you have a sound card. The Rapture audio is terrible.
You also need to understand that the game has a memory leak in DX11 (I assume it's there in DX10, too). There is nothing you can do about that except hope for a patch that probably won't come - I heard Codemasters is having money problems. You just have to exit the game and re-enter it every half hour or so.
