My friend is apparently telling me it does not support his resolution, i can not confirm this, however, he's running 1920x1080, not 1920x1200, which is 16:9 instead of 16:10, any word on if this can be fixed and/or if this is actually true that the game, at least not natively, does not support 16:9 resolutions?

I think the highest resolution atm is 1920x1200
We don't have any plans to support 1920x1080 (HD) atm, but if enough people wish it we could put it in at some point.

i'm not sure why this is
for one, if highest resolution you support is 1920x1200, 1920x1080 is less then 1920x1200
also the highest resolution we see on it is 2048x1536, both of those resolutions are lower then that anyways
Now, we tweaked the config.cfg to make it display at 1920x1080, and it works fine other then the game thinking in the display options that is shows 1024x768, but honestly, supporting all kinds of resolutions is about the easiest thing a game developer can do that will please all gamers, and shouldn't be that hard, i just see no reason not to do it, to be honest, but that's just me
Edit: we did find one thing that messed up with this thing, and that is that the buttons are ok but some of the text are misplaced now, so i see that as being a reason that you guys don't want to just jump into it, but i'd think that would be a slightly easy fix...

We should have a look at this if it is an easy fix.
If I remember correct though we had various of issues with text alignment in the menus and UI.
Not a specialist here speaking but I think that's why we excluded some resolutions.

1920x1080 is a pretty common resolution now, it really ought to be supported if its not too big an issue.
I'm thinking about getting this, I played the demo ages ago and enjoyed it enough.
But it would certainly help to think that resolutions that actually fit my screen are on the way.

So... I'm trying to force it to go into 1366x768 - I changed the lines -->
seta r_customwidth "1366"
seta r_customheight "768"
in the config but this seems to have no effect (not to mention the // generated by the game, do not modify) at the top of the thing.
This is the only thing preventing me from making the purchase.
Any ideas?

Yeah that is the problem we are currently having with the "hack" we have is text alignment, i would assume though this wouldn't be a ground-breaking-mind-numbing task to fix

You have to change r_mode (number) to r_mode -1

Ah, that worked. Thanks! As stated, the text is a little misaligned... but it seems to only affect the menus and I can live with that cause they are still very usable. Hopefully the oddball resolutions get integrated eventually, but this will do for now :)
Wishing a second level was in the demo at this point, but probably buying it at some point today anyway lol...

yeah the UI would require some fixes in order to get looking right at that resolution.
I'll add it to the list of stuff to fix in our next patch! no worries dude, we'll get on it :D

Spent hours trying to get this game to work properly, the best I got was to use the custom resolution trick, and then a resolution of 1712x960 which is a multiple of a native Quake III Res. Works for me with a small black border. Works with other Quake III Engine games too.
Hope this helps other people too.
