Beyond the Sword can't edit options [Archive]

The game won't let me go into options at the main menu. I can't edit resolution. Heard of this?

Yeah, the same thing happened to me. Every computer that I've had Civ IV installed on wouldn't allow me to change the resolution or set it to windowed mode through the menu. Here's how to get around it:

1) Search for "CivilizationIV.ini" in your "My Documents" folder
2) Open it up using notepad
3)search for "Resolution" This will lead you to two options,
a)ScreenHeight
b)ScreenWidth
4)Change both from "0" to whatever resolution you want.
a) Ex. If you standard resolution is 1024x768
b) Width would = 1024
c) Height would = 768

Try it, see if it works :D
