Ok if anybody out there can help me Ill kiss their mom and sisters....
I have been on www.portforward and done all the port forwarding as advised for my router.
I have confirmed with my ISP that the ports are all open.
I have disabled all firewalls, AVG as well as Windows
I have allowed access as well.
I have also tried to disable AVG AVirus
after all of this I am still not able to get access to the multiplayer serve for Napoleon Total War.
Lol I even upgraded my internal fans and checked they were all blowing in the correct directions to cool the case after the game kept crashing my pc with black screens, this did solve the issue.

Please help if you can with the multiplayer issue Im sure it is a simple fix.
Windows XP, AVG antivirus and a netgear router.

What error do you get?
You can't get into the MP menu at all, don't see any games or are never able to connect?

I am able to access the multiplay menu and even play certain hosted network games against the cpu.

However as soon as I go to total war online I see no players, or games in progress. Drop in battles search and then say cant log in to server.

Campaigns load but do not connect to any players they just sit there waiting. Not an error just not getting access to servers at all.

What's your Steam download region?
The games that are displayed for MP are dependent on that.
Europe and US usually have a reasonable amount of games going.

There are connection issues to some games too, but if you change your dl region, you should at least be able to see some more.

Brilliant, it works now why the hell dont SEGA support tell you this?

My download region was Africa, changed that to UK and wow drop in battle and Campaigns all show instantly.

I suppose if I select USA Ill have a wider variety?

Ok so tell your mom and sisters when Im in your valley they each have a kiss waiting lol.

Gonna male SEGA support this answer so they dont have to auto reply those boring generic multi purpose answers.

Not really, Europe is quite active; it depends on the time of day, obviously.
BTW, if you have made Steam friends, their games always show up in the list.
