Counter Strike Beta Available now!

Counter Strike beta out now:

Available immediately, Valve has launched an extensive update to Counter-Strike: Source, now in beta. The update includes a host of new features and functionality developed in collaboration with Hidden Path Studios.

This beta will run for a limited time, and once complete, the update will be deployed to all Counter-Strike: Source owners for free via Steam.

* 144 achievements added
* New lifetime player stats and summary screens
* New match player stats and summary screens
* New end of round display with MVP and interesting fact about a player

* Added avatar icons to voice chat, scoreboard, and end of round display
* Incorporated many source engine updates

How do I download it?

I go to the beta page on Steam and click on play but it just launches regular CS:S and it didn't download anything.

So, the store page says "Available immediately." I click install game and it says "success added to steam account" etc. and then I'm supposed to launch css to try it out but as far as I can tell it's just the same version?

I click on a "Play Game" button in store, but Steam goes to the library and highlight old CSS :/

It runs on a more modern version of the Source engine so separate servers are needed.

Its open for like how long. I am hosting a server for it so I go to install that and when I come back to get the client....Its says the slots are full.........WTF????

Here is your dedicated server instructions. You need to run the update tool with the following parameters.

hldsupdatetool.exe -command update -game "cssbeta" -dir

That will get you dedicated server installed. HOWEVER, I installed a server on our box and came back 10 mins later to get the client and it says the beta is full...........

Why is there a limit on the slots?!?!? Everyone who bought the game and had it sense the release should get the beta!!
